General military funeral honors

For eligible veterans, military funeral honors include playing Taps and folding and presenting the burial flag. The military detail has at least two members, including one from the veteran’s branch of service. This describes the military honors program, not a list of services provided by Post 7189.

How to request military honors

Families can ask their funeral director to arrange military funeral honors with the appropriate military service. Families and funeral planners can also use Military OneSource’s directory, choosing the state where honors will take place and the veteran’s service branch. The responsible military service confirms eligibility and arrangements.
